I offer a variety of services designed to make life better and improve the outcomes for kids and families.

Children and teens with ADHD, executive functioning challenges and other developmental issues struggle to succeed at routine demands of school and home life. Their missteps can be as frustrating to the youth themselves as to the adults in their lives.

Presentations, Workshops, and Book Talks

Presentations, workshops, and book talks provide an opportunity for me to share important information and to refine participants’ understanding through the give-and-take of discussions. At national and international conferences, in schools, and at parent organizations, I speak on topics related to executive functioning and ADHD. Clinical Services

The goal of therapy for those who struggle with ADHD and executive functioning challenges is to improve their ability to meet expectations, to improve their quality of life in the short term, and to build competence over time. Therapy can also help kids and teens with the demoralizing effects of repeatedly experiencing negative feedback. I collaborate with parents to help create an environment that bolsters family life and helps move youth toward independent functioning. Collaboration with teachers and other community professionals on the child’s “team” are often a part of the process.

I see a limited number of ongoing clients at Thinking Tree Psychology in Severna Park, Maryland. I also offer consultations for second opinions and for treatment planning.
